Prostarm Info Systems has announced the establishment of a 1.2 GWh battery energy storage system (BESS) manufacturing facility in Reliance MET City, Jhajjar, Haryana. The plant is expected to be commissioned by the end of FY26.
The facility will serve commercial, industrial, and utility-scale storage markets. The company has secured a nine-year lease for the site and committed Rs 250 million in capital expenditure. This investment covers plant and machinery, infrastructure, and power system upgrades.
Prostarm provides power electronics and energy storage solutions, including UPS systems, lithium-ion battery packs, and solar hybrid systems. As of 2025, it has commissioned over 7.35 MW of rooftop solar systems across 100 sites in India. Prostarm is an empanelled vendor with multiple public sector bodies, including NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam, Airports Authority of India, and RailTel Corporation. Â
