THDC declares commercial operation of Unit-1 at 1,320 MW Khurja thermal plant

THDC India Limited (THDCIL) has declared the commercial operation date (COD) for Unit-1 of the 1,320 MW Khurja Super Thermal Power Plant (KSTPP) on January 25, 2025. 

The Khurja STPS is an under-construction, coal-fired supercritical power plant located in Khurja, Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh.

The plant comprises two units of 660 MW each, and Unit-1 has completed critical testing, including full load testing and a 72-hour trial run at full capacity. The declaration of COD confirms the plant’s operational readiness to supply stable power to the grid.

ACME commission 86.95 MW solar projects in Rajasthan

ACME Deoghar Solar Power Private Limited and ACME Phalodi Solar Energy Private Limited, subsidiaries of ACME Solar Holdings, commissioned a cumulative 86.95 MW solar power projects under the 600 MW solar power projects in Sanwara village, Pokhran tehsil, Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, on January 23, 2025.

ACME Phalodi commissioned 39.95 MW under the 300 MW solar power project at the 600 MW ISTS Connected Solar Power Project (SECI) (Tranche-I). This marks the full commissioning of the 600 MW project, which the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) awarded under the 2,000 MW ISTS-I Solar PV Projects in July 2018 at a tariff of Rs 2.44 per kWh.

ACME Deoghar commissioned 47 MW under the 300 MW solar power project at the 600 MW ISTS Connected Solar Power Project (SECI) (Tranche-II). This completes the 600 MW project, part of the 3,000 MW ISTS-II Solar PV Projects by SECI, awarded in August 2018 at the same tariff of Rs 2.44 per kWh.
