Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL) has received Letters of Intent (LoI) for two major transmission projects. 

These include the transmission system under ISTS for evacuating power from Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant Units 3 and 4 (2×1000 MW) and the system strengthening at Koppal-II and Gadag-II for integrating renewable energy (RE) generation projects in Karnataka.

PFC Consulting Limited (PFCCL), acting as the bid process coordinator, invited Request for Proposal (RfP) bids for these projects in June and July 2024, respectively. 

Both schemes will be implemented on a build, own, operate, and transfer (BOOT) basis.

Juniper Green Energy signs agreement with First Solar for 1 GW of PV modules
