CTUIL issues draft procedure for changing declared renewable energy source

The Central Transmission Utility of India Limited released a draft procedure that defines how projects can change their declared renewable energy source after receiving grid connectivity approval. CTUIL has invited comments by 27 December 2025. The draft was published on 11 December 2025 under the Central Electricity Regulatory Commission Connectivity and General Network Access Regulations 2022. It applies to projects with or without Energy Storage Systems that want to revise their solar, wind or hybrid mix, but the change cannot increase the granted connectivity in MW. The draft sets narrow eligibility conditions and allows only one request per project. Applications will be processed through the National Single Window System. CTUIL may reject proposals due to grid margin constraints or technical issues, and there is no application fee. If cleared, the applicant must provide updated technical data within one year before commissioning and must sign a modified connectivity agreement within 30 days.
