Exicom and EONEX Energy sign MoU to deploy BESS projects

Exicom and EONEX Energy agreed to deploy lithium ion storage systems across Southern India. The plan targets commercial, industrial and renewable uses. The companies will develop systems to support peak load management and improve solar utilisation. Exicom said the partnership advances its clean energy goals and supports wider storage adoption.

Kundan Green and Havells plan captive solar project in Rajasthan

Kundan Green Energy and Havells will set up a 21.43 MWp or 15 MWAC captive solar plant through an SPV in Rajasthan. The project involves Rs 725 million and Havells will hold 26 per cent equity. Commissioning is targeted for 31.05.2026. The partners said the project strengthens industrial clean power supply and long term sustainability plans.

GIP to invest up to Rs 3,000 crore in Aditya Birla Renewables

Global Infrastructure Partners will invest up to Rs 3,000 crore in Aditya Birla Renewables at a valuation of about Rs 14,600 crore. The company will receive staged funding and a possible greenshoe option. Aditya Birla Renewables operates about 4.3 GW and plans to scale beyond 10 GW. GIP said the investment reflects confidence in India’s renewable sector.

KPIL secures Rs 2,003 crore in new EPC orders

Kalpataru Projects International won Rs 2,003 crore in new domestic and overseas contracts. The work covers the Buildings and Factories segment and Transmission and Distribution. The company said the orders strengthen its market presence. Year to date intake has reached about Rs 17,000 crore.

NTPC commissions 6.6 MW wind unit in Bhuj hybrid project

NTPC Green Energy began commercial operation of a 6.6 MW wind unit at its 100 MW hybrid project in Bhuj. The group’s installed capacity has reached 7,645.675 MW and total NTPC capacity stands at 84,931 MW. Commercial operations begin on 11 December 2025.

Tata Power commissions 400 kV Koteshwar Rishikesh transmission line

Tata Power commissioned a 400 kV line to evacuate up to 1,000 MW of hydropower from the Tehri Koteshwar complex. The project was delivered through NRSS XXXVI Transmission. The line spans difficult Himalayan terrain and brings the company’s transmission network to 7,083 circuit kilometres.

NUPPL commissions 660 MW Unit 2 of Ghatanpur thermal project

Neyveli Uttar Pradesh Power Limited placed its second 660 MW unit at the Ghatanpur plant into commercial operation. The plant now has 1,320 MW online. Most power is allocated to Uttar Pradesh. The final unit is due this financial year.

Solarworld to build 200 MW/400 MWh storage project for GUVNL

Solarworld signed a storage agreement with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam for a 200 MW or 400 MWh system. The EPC value is about Rs 806.4 crore over 12 years. The award followed tariff based competitive bidding. The company recently launched a Rs 4.9 billion IPO.

THDCIL begins commercial operations of Unit 3 at Tehri PSP

THDC India began commercial operation of the third 250 MW unit at the Tehri pumped storage plant. Officials said the project improves grid stability and supports clean energy goals. THDC said the plant’s variable speed technology sets a benchmark for advanced hydropower.

Adani Group plans Rs 12 trillion investment across energy and infrastructure

The Adani Group plans more than USD 75 billion in energy transition projects within five years. The wider plan totals up to Rs 12 trillion across energy and infrastructure. The Khavda renewable park is expected to reach 30 GW by 2030. Gautam Adani linked the strategy to national development and resource management goals.

Emmvee signs 4.5 GWp TOPCon cell supply deal and advances 6 GW expansion

Emmvee signed a long term 4.5 GWp TOPCon cell supply agreement running to 2030. The company is advancing a 6 GW integrated facility in Bengaluru after acquiring land. Emmvee targets 16.3 GW module and 8.94 GW cell capacity by the first half of financial year 2028.

CTU issues draft rules for ownership changes in grid connected RE and storage projects

The Central Transmission Utility issued draft rules for approving ownership changes before commercial operation. The process aims to prevent speculative trading of connectivity rights. Applications require 90 day notice and detailed documentation. Comments are open until 17 December 2025.
