PIGL wins Rs 9.5 crore order for 5 MW solar project in Gujarat

Power & Instrumentation (Gujarat) Limited (PIGL) has secured a work order worth Rs 9.5 crore from Sadashiv Projects India Private Limited. The order covers design, engineering, supply, erection, installation, testing, and commissioning of equipment for a 5 MWp ground-mounted solar project at multiple sites in Gujarat.
The scope of work includes material supplies and associated services, with completion scheduled within six months. According to the company, this is its second solar project and forms part of its strategy to expand into the renewable energy segment.
PIGL’s managing director, Padmaraj Padmnabhan Pillai, said the order aligns with the company’s goal of contributing to India’s energy transition. He added that the project will highlight its ability to deliver technically complex assignments within strict timeframes and quality standards.
Founded in 1975, PIGL provides engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) solutions across the power sector, including generation, transmission, and distribution. The company has executed over 35 airport projects, electrified more than 100,000 below-poverty-line households, and laid more than 20,000 km of high and low-tension lines.
For FY25, PIGL reported standalone revenue of Rs 171.28 crore, EBITDA of Rs 19.59 crore, and net profit of Rs 11.75 crore.
