PFC Consulting Limited (PFCCL) has invited Request for Proposal (RfP) bids for the selection of a transmission service provider (TSP) through a tariff-based competitive bidding (TBCB) process. The project, “Network Expansion Scheme in Maharashtra for Providing Supply to Data Centre Loads in Navi Mumbai,”  will be developed on a build, own, operate, and transfer (BOOT) basis.

The bidding process was launched on March 24, 2025, with a deadline for submissions set for May 28, 2025. Maharashtra State Electricity Transmission Company Limited (MSETCL) has appointed PFCCL as the bid process coordinator (BPC) for the project. N. K. Enterprises has been awarded a contract for survey and report preparation as the technical consultant for transmission project.

UPPCL seeks environmental expert for distribution project

Separately, Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL) has invited bids for an Environmental Assessment Expert (National) for the Uttar Pradesh Power Distribution Network Rehabilitation Project – Tranche 2. The bid submission deadline is March 27, 2025.

The work is estimated to cost Rs 2.91 million and is expected to be completed within 50 days.

The rehabilitation project is being considered for funding by the Asian Development Bank (ADB). Key components include aerial bundled cable conversions, feeder separation, and network augmentation. Under the multitranche financing facility (MFF) loan structure, a Safeguards Assessment and Review Framework (SARF) and an Initial Environment Examination (IEE) report have been prepared, forming the basis for implementing Tranche 1.
