PFC forms SPV for 400/220/132 kV AIS Latur transmission project

Power Finance Corporation (PFC) has set up a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) through its subsidiary, PFC Consulting Limited. In its 11 December filing, PFC said the SPV, Latur Rez Transmission Limited, will carry out surveys, land acquisition and other preparatory tasks for the 400/220/132 kV AIS Latur system.
The SPV will be transferred to the winning bidder after the international competitive bidding process.Â
PFC Consulting Limited issued the request for proposals on 4 November 2025 for a build-own-operate transfer project covering a new 400/220/132 kV substation at Latur with associated lines. The scope includes 500 MVA and 315 MVA ICTs, a 125 MVAr bus reactor and bays for connections to proposed and existing 400 kV, 220 kV and 132 kV lines, including bays for 250 MW solar generators. All elements target a scheduled commercial operation date within 24 months of the effective date.
The project is designed to support 1 to 2 GW of renewable energy evacuation in Dharashiv and Latur.
