Pace Digitek secures 3 GWh LFP cell supply, expands BESS capacity
Pace Digitek Limited has announced two developments through its material subsidiary, Lineage Power Private Limited, aimed at strengthening its Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) business. The company has signed a long-term supply agreement for lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery cells and reported progress in expanding its BESS manufacturing capacity to 10 GWh.
Lineage Power has entered into a Master Supply Agreement (MSA) with Guangzhou Rongjie Energy Technology Co., Ltd. (RJE Tech) for the supply of 3 GWh of 314Ah storage-specific prismatic LFP battery cells and related accessories. The cells will be used for utility-scale and commercial and industrial (C&I) BESS projects. According to the company, the agreement is intended to strengthen supply chain stability, provide access to advanced battery technology, establish a long-term pricing framework and improve logistics through the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
Capacity expansion
Lineage Power currently has an installed BESS manufacturing capacity of 2.5 GWh. An additional 2.5 GWh production line is nearing commissioning and is expected to become operational in July 2026, increasing the total installed capacity to 5 GWh.
The company has also placed orders for the next 5 GWh expansion phase, with infrastructure already completed. This phase is targeted to become operational in the third quarter of FY2027, taking the total manufacturing capacity to 10 GWh.
In addition, Lineage Power is developing a container fabrication facility, which is expected to become operational in the second quarter of FY2027. The company said the facility will support backward integration and strengthen supply chain control.
