Odisha Power Generation Corporation (OPGC) has issued a Notice Inviting Tender (NIT) for the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) package for the Stage-III expansion of the IB Thermal Power Project.
The project will add two supercritical units, each with a capacity of 600 MW, at Banaharpalli village in Jharsuguda district, Odisha.
The total investment for the project is estimated at Rs 127.17 billion, with the last date for bid submission set as December 7, 2024.
The project is scheduled for commissioning by the end of 2028, with both units expected to be synchronized with the grid by March 2029.
