NTPC Renewable Energy (NTPC REL), a subsidiary of NTPC Green Energy (NGEL), has secured a 1,000 MW solar power order from Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation (UPPCL) following a successful bid in an e-reverse auction on 3 January 2025.
This capacity is part of a larger 2,000 MW initiative for ISTS-connected solar photovoltaic (PV) power projects across India under tariff-based competitive bidding.
NTPC REL won the bid with a competitive tariff of Rs 2.56 per kWh and is now awaiting a formal letter of award from UPPCL to proceed.
