NTPC commissions final 105 MW unit of Khavda-II solar project
NTPC Limited has declared commercial operation of the eighth and final part capacity of 105 MW from the 1,200 MW Khavda-II Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Project in Gujarat, effective May 28, 2026.Â
With the latest commissioning, the entire 1,200 MW Khavda-II Solar PV Project has now become operational.
The project is being developed by NTPC Renewable Energy Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), which is a subsidiary of NTPC Limited.Â
Following the commissioning of the final phase, the total installed capacity of the NTPC Group has increased to 90,773 MW, while its commercial capacity has reached 88,893 MW.
For the NGEL Group, the current commercial capacity now stands at 10,516.40 MW. The total installed capacity of the group has risen to 10,621.40 MW.Â
Earlier, in April 2026, NGEL had declared commercial operation of the seventh phase comprising 90 MW from the Khavda-II Solar PV Project.Â
