NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL) has fully commissioned the 105 MW Unit-1 of its solar power project in Madhya Pradesh. 

The final 50 MW capacity under the project began commercial operations on March 13, 2025, completing the development of Unit-1.

This project is part of the larger 325 MW Shajapur Solar Power Park, which includes Unit-1 (105 MW) and Unit-2 (220 MW). NTPCGE Power Services Private Limited (NGSL) is responsible for its implementation. 

The first phase of Unit-1, with 55 MW capacity, was operational from November 29, 2024. With the addition of the remaining 50 MW, the unit is now fully functional.

This marks NTPC’s second project commissioning this month. NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), a subsidiary of NTPC Limited, recently completed the fourth and final phase of its 300 MW Shambu ki Burj-2 (Kolayat) solar photovoltaic project in Bikaner, Rajasthan. The last 18.32 MW segment began operations on March 1, 2025.

With these additions, NTPC Group’s total installed and commercial capacity has risen to 77,461.50 MW.
