NTPC declares 100 MW solar unit at Ramagundam operational

NTPC Limited has declared commercial operation of 100 MW from its solar photovoltaic project at Ramagundam in Telangana, effective 00:00 Hrs. on May 2, 2026.

The commissioned capacity is part of a larger 176 MW solar PV project at the same location. The unit was brought online following the successful completion of commissioning activities.

With this addition, NTPC group’s total installed capacity has reached 89,805 MW, while its commercial capacity stands at 88,725 MW.

The Ramagundam project forms part of NTPC’s renewable energy expansion as the company continues to diversify its generation portfolio beyond thermal power.
