NTPC brings 82.04 MW solar capacity online with Solapur and Khavda additions

NTPC Limited informed that it has declared 13 MW from its Solapur Solar PV Project on commercial operation with effect from December 25, 2025, as per the filing dated December 24, 2025. With this addition, NTPC Limited’s total installed and commercial capacity on a standalone basis has reached 60,796 MW. On a group basis, the installed and commercial capacity now stands at 85,623 MW.
In a separate disclosure, NTPC Green Energy Limited, a subsidiary of NTPC Limited, announced the commercial operation of an eighth part capacity of 69.04 MW from the 1,255 MW Khavda-I Solar PV Project in Gujarat. The project falls under the Central Public Sector Undertaking (CPSU) scheme Phase-II Tranche-III and is operated by NTPC Renewable Energy Limited, a step-down subsidiary. The commercial operation is effective on December 25, 2025. This raises the total installed capacity of the NTPC Green Energy Limited Group to 7,996.30 MW from 7,927.26 MW.
Both filings were made under Regulation 30 of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements Regulations, 2015. NTPC Group also announced the commercial commissioning of more than 359 MW of new solar power capacity across projects in Rajasthan and Gujarat on 17 December 2025 and 18 December 2025.
