The National Bank for Financing Infrastructure and Development (NaBFID) has sanctioned a Rs 2.72 billion loan to KPI Green Energy Limited for partial financing of its 50 MW wind-solar hybrid power project in Bharuch, Gujarat.
The project is part of Phase I under Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited’s (GUVNL) wind-solar hybrid power initiative.
In January 2024, KPI Green secured the 50 MW wind-solar hybrid project at a tariff of Rs 2.99 per kWh. The project was awarded under GUVNL’s 500 MW wind-solar hybrid power procurement plan, which was launched in November 2023 with a greenshoe option for an additional 500 MW capacity across India.
The project will be developed on a build, own, and operate (BOO) basis and will include:
- 50 MW / 72.5 MWp solar power capacity
- 16.95 MW wind power capacity
- Dedicated transmission network up to the delivery point in Bharuch, Gujarat
Additionally, Sun Drops Energia Private Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of KPI Green Energy, has received Letters of Award (LoAs) for 14.9 MW solar power projects under the Captive Power Producer (CPP) segment.
The projects are expected to be completed in multiple phases by FY 2026.
