MSEDCL awards solar pump orders to Shakti Pumps, Oswal Pumps, GK Energy

The Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) has issued new orders for off-grid solar pumps under the Magel Tyala Saur Krushi Pump Yojana, which operates under the PM KUSUM B scheme. The awards cover systems to be deployed across Maharashtra to support agricultural irrigation.
Shakti Pumps said it has received a Letter of Empanelment for 16,025 off-grid solar pumps in 3 HP, 5 HP and 7.5 HP capacities. The company will design, manufacture, supply and install the systems. It placed the project value at Rs 407.51 crore excluding GST and Rs 443.78 crore including GST. The work is to be completed within 60 days from the work order or notice to proceed.
Oswal Pumps said it has secured an order for 13,738 off-grid solar pumps under the same scheme. The contract is valued at about Rs 380 crore, including GST. The company said the pumps will be installed at individual farm sites and will include repair, maintenance and remote monitoring services for five years.
GK Energy Limited said it has received a Letter of Award from MSEDCL for 13,239 off-grid DC solar pump systems worth Rs 366.63 crore. The project covers the entire state of Maharashtra and includes 3 HP, 5 HP and 7.5 HP systems. The work needs to be completed within 60 days of the work order.
