Chief Minister Mohan Yadav and Union Minister for New and Renewable Energy Pralhad Joshi inaugurated the 500 MW Neemuch Solar Park and the 450 MW Shajapur Solar Park in Madhya Pradesh on Monday. The Neemuch Solar Park has been developed for Rs 2,080 crore and achieved a solar power tariff of Rs 2.14 per unit, which the state government said is the lowest tariff secured in India.

The state’s renewable energy capacity is set to expand further with the under-construction 550 MW Agar Solar Park, which has secured tariffs between Rs 2.44 and Rs 2.45 per unit.

According to the Chief Minister, renewable energy now accounts for 30% of Madhya Pradesh’s total installed power capacity, with the state’s renewable energy capacity exceeding 12,018 MW. He also highlighted the commissioning of a 60 MW solar power plant at Jalud, developed at Rs 271.16 crore, and the upcoming 6 GW solar manufacturing facility by Jakson Integrated Solar Limited at Maksi.
