Lords Mark Industries Private Limited has won a contract from the Uttar Pradesh New and Renewable Energy Development Agency (UPNEDA) to set up 300 MW of grid-connected rooftop solar power plants under the Renewable Energy Service Company (RESCO) model.
The firm secured the contract at a tariff of Rs 4.8 per kWh.
The contract is part of a larger initiative initiated by UPNEDA in July 2024, initially calling for 3,205 MW of grid-connected solar projects, which was later revised to 2,553.5 MW.
The scope of work includes design, engineering, supply, construction, testing, and commissioning of the solar plants, along with operation and maintenance (O&M) for 25 years. The solarization will support agriculture feeders at distribution substations, selling power to Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL) under the PM-KUSUM program.
A power purchase agreement (PPA) will be signed with UPPCL for 25 years. The project is expected to be completed within 12 months of the PPA signing.
