KPI Green wins NTPC award for 1 TPD green hydrogen project

KPI Green Energy Limited has informed the exchanges that it has received a Notification of Award (NOA) from NTPC Limited for setting up a green hydrogen generation project.

According to the filing dated December 24, 2025, the project will be located at NTPC’s NETRA facility in Greater Noida. It involves establishing a 1 Tonne Per Day (TPD) green hydrogen plant based on plasma gasification technology. The process will convert municipal solid waste, refuse-derived fuel and agricultural waste into synthesis gas, which will then be processed to produce green hydrogen. The company noted that this is its first green hydrogen project and one of the early plasma gasification-based hydrogen deployments in India.

Under the award, KPI Green Energy Limited will handle design, engineering, manufacturing, supply, installation, commissioning and operation and maintenance for two years. The aggregate contract value for the awards is ₹128.49 Crore, excluding Goods and Services Tax (GST). The awards are subject to the execution of formal contract agreements.

The disclosure was made under Regulation 30 of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements Regulations, 2015, and was signed by Moh. Sohil Yusuf Dabhoya, Whole Time Director.
