KPI Green Energy Limited has commissioned an additional 24.2 MW AC (35.01 MW DC) capacity under its 250 MW AC (350 MW DC) grid-connected solar independent power producer project awarded by Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL).
With this commissioning, the total operational capacity under the project has increased to 48.4 MW AC (69.41 MW DC). The project was secured through a competitive bidding process and is being implemented in phases.
The newly added capacity became operational on March 10, 2026. The overall project is scheduled for completion by October 2026, and the company stated that work on the remaining capacity is progressing according to plan.
The solar project contributes to Gujarat’s renewable energy expansion and aligns with India’s broader energy transition objectives.
In February 2026, KPI Green Energy completed a 92.4 MW wind power project for Ayana Renewable Power Four at Nakhatrana in Bhuj, Gujarat. Earlier, on January 29, 2026, the company announced the start of power generation and supply from a 200 MW AC (240 MW DC) solar power project in Gujarat.
