Kosol Energie’s Koraam secures fourth MSEDCL solar pump order under PM-KUSUM
Koraam, the agricultural solar solutions vertical powered by Kosol Energie Pvt. Ltd., has received its fourth order from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) for deployment of solar water pumping systems under the Magel Tyala Saur Krushi Pump Yojana (MTSKPY).
The latest Letter of Empanelment covers the installation of 2,933 solar water pumps across Maharashtra, further expanding Koraam’s footprint in the state’s agricultural solar segment.
The project includes end-to-end execution covering design, manufacturing, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of solar-powered pumping systems. Koraam will also provide after-sales support for long-term operation and maintenance of the systems.
The deployment forms part of the Government of India’s Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan (PM-KUSUM) scheme, which promotes solar-powered irrigation infrastructure. The off-grid solar pumps are intended to reduce dependence on conventional energy sources while supporting uninterrupted water access for agricultural activities.
The pumping systems will use Kosol’s photovoltaic modules rated at 535 Wp and 450 Wp. According to the company, the modules are designed for agricultural pumping applications and incorporate high-efficiency solar cells, low temperature coefficient characteristics for stable performance in high-temperature conditions, and anti-reflective coated glass to improve light absorption.
Koraam is a specialised business vertical of Kosol Energie Pvt. Ltd. focused on solar farming technologies and agro-photovoltaic (Agro PV) solutions in India. The company is an official channel partner for PM-KUSUM Component B and has installed more than 10,000 solar pumps within a year across seven states and over 200 districts.
Under its Vision 2030 initiative, Koraam aims to deploy more than 10 lakh Agro PV solutions across India.
