Kerala leases land to KMRL for 12 MW solar project in Kasargod

The Government of Kerala (GoK) has leased 50 acres of land to Kochi Metro Rail Limited (KMRL) for developing a 12 MW solar power project in Kasargod district. The lease term is 30 years, with an annual rent of Rs 3.205 million.
The solar project will be set up at Ambalathara village in Hosdurg taluk. Power generated from the facility will be used to meet KMRL’s electricity requirements.
