Karnataka to get new high-voltage substation at Kodimuddanahalli

RK Infra Electricals Limited secured the contract for the establishment of a 220/66/11 kV substation at Sirivara (Kodimuddanahalli), Karnataka, comprising two 150 MVA transformers and two 20 MVA transformers, with a total contract value of Rs 164.74 crore.

Once completed, the substation is expected to strengthen the region’s transmission and distribution network and support growing electricity demand.

The new substation will enhance power evacuation and distribution capabilities in the area while improving grid reliability and supply quality. Substation projects of this scale play a key role in supporting industrial growth, urban development and increasing electricity consumption.
