Kalpataru Projects International Limited has received a Letter of Award (LoA) worth Rs 6.55 billion for composite Package-C7 in West Bengal. 

The contract covers the design, engineering, construction, supply, erection, stringing, testing, and commissioning of three power infrastructure projects. West Bengal State Electricity Transmission Company Limited (WBSETCL) invited bids in March 2024.

The scope includes:

  • Project 1: A 400/220/33 kV gas-insulated (GI) substation at Bengal Aerotropolis Projects Ltd (BAPL), a 220 kV transmission line from BAPL to Jamuria (28 km), and a line-in-line-out (LILO) of the 400 kV PPSP-Durgapur line at BAPL.
  • Project 2: A 220/132/33 kV GI substation at Panagarh Industrial Park and a 220 kV transmission line for LILO of the Durgapur BKTPS line (26.68 km).
  • Project 3: A 220/132/33 kV GI substation at Jamuria and a 220 kV transmission line for LILO of the Durgapur-JK Nagar line (15.4 km).

Meanwhile, the joint venture (JV) of EPC Infracon Private Limited and Gepdec Infratech Limited has won a Rs 1.48 billion contract for power infrastructure upgrades in Goa. 

The project involves designing, supplying, erecting, testing, and commissioning two 63 MVA, 110/33 kV power transformers, a 110 kV gas-insulated substation (GIS) switchgear, and associated equipment. It also includes replacing an old 40 MVA, 110/33 kV power transformer at the 110/33 kV Verna substation.

The Department of Power (DoP), Goa invited bids in August 2024.
