The Government of Jammu & Kashmir (GoJK) has planned a 10 MW solar power plant (SPP) at the decommissioned land of Pampore Gas Turbine (GT-Pampore).
Jammu & Kashmir State Power Development Corporation Limited (JKSPDC) is expected to implement the project.
The project will be developed in phases, with 5 MW in the first phase on vacant land at GT-Pampore. The total land area under GT Phase-I (3×25=75 MW) and Phase-II (4×25=100 MW) is 22.77 hectares (56.287 acres). Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has been appointed as the project implementing agency (PIA).
The project is expected to follow a tariff-based competitive bidding (TBCB) process under the state’s transmission plan for 2022-27.
In recent developments in the state, Power Peak Digest reported that Jammu & Kashmir has proposed a 50 MVA, 220/33 kV gas-insulated substation (GIS) at Batkote in Pahalgam.
