Jindal Stainless Limited (JSL) has successfully commissioned rooftop and floating solar power projects with a cumulative capacity of 30.34 MWp at its manufacturing plant in Jajpur, Odisha.
The projects were commissioned on April 22, 2025, with 23.02 MWp from rooftop solar systems and 7.32 MWp from a floating solar plant.
AB Energia Solutions Private Limited served as the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contractor for the project.
The floating solar plant, with a capacity of 7.32 MWp, has been set up on an internal reservoir, utilizing unused water bodies to generate clean energy while also reducing water evaporation. The rooftop solar system, covering 10 industrial rooftops at varying elevations, accounts for 23.02 MWp of the total capacity.
