Jakson Engineers Ltd, part of the Jakson Group, will invest over Rs 8,000 crore to establish a 6 GW integrated solar module, cell, and wafer manufacturing plant at Maksi Phase II in Madhya Pradesh.
The facility will be developed in two stages. In Phase I, the company will set up 3 GW of solar modules and 3 GW of solar cell capacity at a cost of about Rs 2,000 crore. Phase II will add 6 GW of solar wafer production along with an additional 3 GW each of modules and cells, requiring about Rs 6,000 crore. The first solar modules are expected by May 2026, with cell production scheduled to start by September 2026.
Covering 110 acres, this will be the state’s largest solar manufacturing investment. The project is expected to generate over 1,000 jobs during construction and about 1,400 positions once operations begin. Jakson Engineers said Madhya Pradesh was selected due to its location, infrastructure, and policy support.
