Insolation Green Energy Pvt Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Insolation Energy Ltd, has secured a mandate to set up more than 226 MW of solar photovoltaic capacity across 135 sites in Rajasthan.

According to a company release, the subsidiary has received a letter of intent covering design, survey, installation, testing, commissioning, and 25 years of operations and maintenance for these projects. The award was issued by Jaipur Vidyut Vitran Nigam Ltd (JVVNL) for 20 sites and Ajmer Vidyut Vitran Nigam Ltd (AVVNL) for 115 sites. Both are state-owned distribution companies in Rajasthan.

The projects, totalling 226.45 MW, will be executed under the renewable energy service company (RESCO) model as part of the PM-KUSUM Component A program. Power generated will be supplied to the discoms at site-specific tariffs. Of the 115 sites, electricity will be sold at Rs 3.04 per kWh for 16 sites, Rs 2.82 per kWh for five sites, Rs 2.75 per kWh for 53 sites, and Rs 2.60 per kWh for 61 sites.

The developer will also handle grid connectivity through 11 kV lines linking the solar plants to 33/11 kV substations, along with remote monitoring systems. The investment required is estimated at Rs 750 crore, including GST.

The projects are expected to generate about 362.23 million kWh annually, with an estimated revenue of Rs 98.47 crore per year. Commercial operations across all 135 sites are targeted during FY27.
