Insolation Energy secures Rs 558 crore solar module order from NTPC
Insolation Energy Limited has announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Insolation Green Energy Private Limited, has secured a Rs 558.29 crore contract from NTPC Renewable Energy Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC Limited, for the supply of solar photovoltaic (PV) modules.
According to the company’s regulatory filing, the contract is domestic in nature and is scheduled for execution during FY27. The order value of Rs 558.29 crore is inclusive of GST.
Order details
The company stated that no promoter, promoter group or group company has any interest in NTPC Renewable Energy Limited. It also clarified that the transaction does not qualify as a related party transaction.
While the capacity of the solar PV modules to be supplied has not been disclosed, the contract represents a significant addition to the company’s order book.
Domestic manufacturing
The order comes as India continues to expand domestic solar manufacturing under its Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative. NTPC Renewable Energy has been awarding module supply contracts to support its renewable energy capacity expansion, providing opportunities for domestic manufacturers.
The award reflects the increasing role of Indian manufacturers in supplying solar modules for utility-scale renewable energy projects.
