Insolation Energy Limited has received a Letter of Intent (LoI) from Jaipur Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited (JVVNL) to set up a total of 109.79 MW of grid-connected solar power projects across Rajasthan.
The award was issued on June 30, 2025, under Component A of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan (PM-KUSUM) scheme.
The projects will be spread across multiple locations and implemented in phases:
- 96.59 MW across 51 locations at a levelised tariff of Rs 2.55 per kWh
- 12 MW across six locations at a tariff of Rs 3.037 per kWh
- 1.2 MW at one location at a tariff of Rs 3.04 per kWh
These solar plants will be developed under the Renewable Energy Service Company (RESCO) model.
Earlier this year, JVVNL invited bids to develop a total of 118.97 MW of solar capacity. These projects were aimed at solarizing agricultural feeders linked to 63 plants under Dausa circles. Each project was sized between 0.5 MW and 2 MW, and all fall under Component A of the PM-KUSUM scheme.
The project scope includes land lease agreements for 26 years, complete design and installation, supply and testing, and commissioning. It also covers 25 years of operations and maintenance. Developers will construct 11 kV lines to connect with 33/11 kV substations and install remote monitoring systems for all solar plants.
Rajasthan Urja Vikas and IT Services Limited (RUVITL), acting on behalf of JVVNL, will sign a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with Insolation Energy.
The solar plants are expected to be commissioned by June 2026, with an estimated investment of Rs 3.8 billion.
