Indus Towers Limited (ITL) has signed an agreement with Amplus Energy Solutions Private Limited to set up a 50 MW captive solar photovoltaic (PV) power project in India.

As part of the agreement, ITL will invest Rs 270 million to acquire a 26 per cent equity stake in Amplus Tungabhadra Private Limited, the special purpose vehicle (SPV) for the project. The project is expected to be completed by February 2026.

In another development, Sharika Enterprises has secured multiple solar rooftop contracts totalling approximately 5 MW, valued at around USD 3 million. The contracts, awarded by NHPC, PGCIL, and NTPC, highlight Sharika’s expertise in solar energy solutions. These include:

  • A 4 MW rooftop solar power system for NHPC across project sites in Jammu & Kashmir under the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana.
  • A 1 MW rooftop solar system for PGCIL in Ladakh, Rajasthan, and Northern Region buildings.
  • A 180 kWp solar carport for NTPC’s Unchahar site in Raebareli.

Sharika Enterprises has a strong track record in executing large-scale solar projects across India, including the installation of 3.5 MW of rooftop solar and over 10,000 solar streetlights for clients like PGCIL, NTPC, and PEDA.
