Husk Power Systems has launched BEEM, a new rooftop solar platform tailored to meet the specific needs of residential users in India.

The platform is designed for flat rooftops, common in Indian homes, and includes two product lines, Aura and Eternia.

BEEM offers a fully online experience powered by AI-enabled digital tools. Homeowners can size their systems, select products, and book installations remotely. The platform also provides real-time generation data and long-term quality assurance across the system’s lifecycle.

To improve access, BEEM supports low-cost financing and helps users claim subsidies and navigate net metering, which allows them to sell excess energy back to the grid. These services are enabled through BEEM’s network of local partners.

Initially, BEEM will focus on Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh, and Maharashtra. Husk plans to scale operations across India by offering standardised, homeowner-centric solar solutions.

Beyond residential solar, Husk aims to use BEEM to drive the development of virtual power plants—networks of distributed systems that generate and trade electricity locally. This could decentralise energy control and give more power to consumers in the long run.
