GREW Solar has received a contract worth over Rs 2,000 crore from NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL) to supply 1,464.5 MW of high-efficiency solar photovoltaic (PV) modules. The modules will be supplied for multiple project locations in Uttar Pradesh. The order is among the larger module supply agreements linked to NTPC’s renewable capacity plans.
NTPC REL, a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC Green Energy Limited, is expanding renewable capacity as part of NTPC’s clean energy programme. The projects supported by this order are expected to aid national decarbonization goals and support energy security through domestically produced PV technology.
GREW Solar said the order shows confidence in its manufacturing capability and quality systems. The company is expanding its Dudu manufacturing plant to reach a total capacity of 11 GW. This aligns with ongoing efforts to increase domestic solar manufacturing.
GREW Solar has also announced a leadership change. The company appointed Divyanshu Parnami as National Sales Head for the Mid-Market and Distribution Business. He has over three decades of experience in sales and strategy in the renewable and engineering sectors, having previously worked with Vikram Solar and Goldi Solar. The appointment focuses on strengthening commercial operations and expanding the distribution network in India.
