Greenzo Energy secures EPC contract for 120 MW solar project in Nepal

Greenzo Energy, a comprehensive green hydrogen and renewable energy solutions provider, has won an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract for a 120 MW ground-mounted solar project in Nepal.

Valued at Rs 5 billion, this contract boosts Greenzo’s order book to Rs 19 billion. Scheduled for phased completion by 2025, the project will consist of 12 clusters, each with a 10 MW solar installation.

The project includes an advanced high-tension transmission line connecting directly to the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) grid, allowing surplus power to be fed back to the national grid for optimized energy flow and enhanced grid stability. Greenzo has collaborated closely with Nepalese authorities for over two years on this initiative, which is anticipated to create over 500 local jobs.

Sandeep Agarwal, Greenzo Energy’s managing director, confirmed that the Letter of Credit has been secured and project work is underway, while executive director Kushal Agarwal highlighted the project’s community-oriented benefits. Founded in 2021, Greenzo Energy specializes in renewable and green hydrogen infrastructure and has a diverse portfolio, including solar, wind, ammonia, and hydrogen projects, with over 2 GW of solar EPC and consultancy projects completed in India and beyond.
