Godrej Enterprises Group’s (GEG) Energy Solutions Business has secured an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract to develop a 98 MWp (70 MW AC) open-access solar power plant in Sirsa, Haryana. The company stated that this is its largest order by capacity to date and the largest open-access solar project in the state.

The project has been awarded by Hexa Climate Solutions, a renewable energy and decarbonisation-focused independent power producer (IPP). GEG will execute the project on a turnkey basis.

Once commissioned, the plant is expected to generate about 1,470 lakh kWh annually. It will deploy bifacial tunnel oxide passivated contact (TOPCon) modules with string inverters and include smart monitoring systems to optimise generation output.

The company indicated that it will engage regional partners, involve local communities, and create employment during the execution phase.

The order aligns with GEG’s focus on expanding power infrastructure across Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Haryana, and Madhya Pradesh. The business is targeting a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of over 20% over the next three to five years, supported by its growing extra high voltage (EHV) transmission and solar portfolio. It has previously commissioned a 25 MW solar project in Dhule, Maharashtra, and initiated 765 kV gas insulated substation (GIS) projects in Gujarat, along with rooftop solar installations across Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Haryana.

With this project, GEG’s Energy Solutions Business has crossed 98 MWp of cumulative solar installations in India.
