GE Vernova secures order for 14 turbines for wind farms in Japan

GE Vernova’s Onshore Wind division has secured an order to supply 14 4.2 MW-117m turbines for the Iwaya and Shitsukari wind farms in Aomori, Japan. Developed by Eurus, the projects are expected to begin commercial operations by 2028.
This order, secured in the fourth quarter of 2024, is part of GE Vernova’s continued efforts to support Japan’s renewable energy goals.
This is the fourth major order for GE Vernova in Japan since early 2024. With this addition, the company’s wind turbines will contribute 1.8 GW of energy capacity in the country.
