Hinduja Renewables Energy Private Limited received a Letter of Award (LoA) on January 6, 2025, for the 600 MW Jhansi Solar Power Park Project in Uttar Pradesh.
TUSCO Limited, a joint venture of UPNEDA and THDC India Limited, invited bids for Solar Power Developers (SPDs) in August 2024.
The project involves constructing cable trays, internal drainage systems, 33kV cables, land levelling, and installing power generation equipment. It also includes geotechnical surveys, Operation and Maintenance (O&M) services, and developing power evacuation arrangements from the Jhansi Solar Power Park to the state transmission utility grid substation.
Set on 3,000 acres of land in various villages of Garautha Tehsil, the project is expected to cost Rs 30 billion and will be developed on a Build, Own, and Operate (BOO) basis.
