GE Vernova T&D India Ltd has secured orders worth approximately Rs 5 billion from Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd (PGCIL) for the supply and installation of 765kV-class transformers and reactors under bulk procurement. The company will execute the orders within 36 months, according to a regulatory filing.

Meanwhile, Larsen & Toubro’s (L&T) power transmission and distribution vertical has won multiple domestic and international contracts. In India, L&T will implement 765kV and 400kV transmission lines for a renewable energy zone in Uttar Pradesh and construct a 400kV transmission line to evacuate power from a non-fossil fuel-based power plant in southern India. 

Internationally, L&T has secured an order for a 380kV gas-insulated substation (GIS) in Saudi Arabia, along with associated reactors and hybrid GIS bay installations. In Abu Dhabi, the company has been awarded a contract for a 220/33kV grid station and related infrastructure.
