Ganesh Green wins 1 GWh BESS EPC order from NTPC REL

Ganesh Green Bharat Ltd (GGBL) has secured a 1 GWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract from NTPC Renewable Energy Ltd (NTPC REL).

The order marks the company’s expansion into the energy storage segment and strengthens its presence in grid-scale battery storage projects linked to renewable energy integration.

Under the contract, Ganesh Green Bharat will supply the BESS as well as undertake engineering, procurement, and project execution activities.

Financial performance

The Gujarat-based renewable energy and infrastructure company reported revenue of Rs 1,064.26 crore in FY26, compared to Rs 321.76 crore in FY25. Profit after tax (PAT) increased to Rs 75.18 crore from Rs 30.22 crore during the same period.

The company also reported earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA) of Rs 113.58 crore for FY26, reflecting growth of 122% year-on-year.

According to the company, the financial performance was supported by execution in solar manufacturing and EPC operations along with expansion into the BESS segment. Ganesh Green Bharat stated that its order book currently stands at around Rs 2,212 crore, providing visibility for future revenue growth.

Ketan Patel, Chairman and Managing Director of Ganesh Green Bharat, stated that the order reflects the company’s expansion into the energy storage sector and strengthens its long-term growth plans in renewable energy infrastructure.
