G R Infraprojects Limited has received a Letter of Intent (LOI) for the “Transmission system for Evacuation of Power from RE Projects in Rajgarh (1500 MW) SEZ in Madhya Pradesh-Phase III and Evacuation of Power from RE Projects in Neemuch (1000 MW) SEZ in Madhya Pradesh-Phase II.”
The award was issued on 27 August 2025 by REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited. The project is being implemented through the Tariff Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) process.
The scope includes establishment of a 2×500 MVA, 400/220 kV substation at Handiya with 2×125 MVAr, 420 kV bus reactors. It also involves creating new 220 kV bus sections at Neemuch and Pachora, augmenting transformer capacity with additional 500 MVA ICTs, and constructing multiple 220 kV and 400 kV line bays for renewable energy integration.
Additional works cover installation of switchable line reactors, construction of 400 kV double circuit lines with associated bays, and expansion of interconnection facilities at Rajgarh, Pachora, and Handiya.
The project will be executed on a Build, Own, Operate, and Transfer (BOOT) basis. The scheduled completion period is 24 months from the acquisition of the special purpose vehicle. The operations and maintenance period is 35 years, with annual transmission charges of Rs. 3,670.73 million.
