Evren has received a USD 100 million investment from ALTÉRRA to develop around 11 GW of solar, wind, and battery storage projects in Rajasthan and Andhra Pradesh. The investment will support the development and construction of these large-scale renewable energy assets.
This is ALTÉRRA’s first direct investment in the Global South. The funding comes through the ALTÉRRA acceleration fund, in partnership with the Brookfield Global Transition Fund II and other investors. It supports India’s goal of reaching 500 GW of installed renewable energy capacity by 2030.
Evren is Brookfield’s new development platform in India. It aims to build over 6 GW of renewable energy projects in the next two to three years, focusing on high-resource states.
