EU launches Citizen Energy Advisory Hub

Author: PPD Team Date: 23/06/2025

The European Commission has launched the Citizen Energy Advisory Hub (CEAH), a 3-year initiative to support citizen-led energy projects across the EU. It aims to help individuals, communities, municipalities, NGOs, and small businesses lower energy costs by using renewable energy and managing demand.

CEAH will provide technical assistance to 120 citizens or local actors to help plan or scale up sustainable energy projects. It will also offer resources, build capacity, promote local dialogues, and create networking opportunities.

The initiative aligns with EU climate targets for 2030 and net-zero goals for 2050, and supports the Affordable Energy Action Plan and upcoming Citizens Energy Package.
