Enerpac and PrimeGold to set up solar projects in Gujarat and Tamil Nadu

Enerpac India Private Limited is planning a 35 MW solar power project in Gujarat. The project will supply power to commercial and industrial (C&I) consumers under a group captive open access model.
Target sectors include recycling, automotive, packaging, plastics, and global mining. The project is designed to meet the energy needs of high-consumption industries like manufacturing, chemicals, and pharmaceuticals.
The plant will generate 58 million units of electricity annually and cut around 41,000 tonnes of carbon emissions per year. For consumers, the project offers long-term tariff stability and reduces scope 2 emissions.
Meanwhile, PrimeGold Steel & Power Limited, a subsidiary of PrimeGold International Limited, is planning a 20 MW captive solar power project in Ariyalur, Tamil Nadu. The firm has secured land and a Rs 650 million loan from the Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency (IREDA).
The projects are scheduled for commissioning by August 2025.
