EIE Renewables has been awarded a contract by ITI Limited to develop a 10 MW ground-mounted solar power project at Naini in Uttar Pradesh. The project was awarded through a competitive bidding process.

The project will be implemented on a Build Own Operate Transfer (BOOT) basis, after which only BOOT is used. Under the contract, EIE Renewables will be responsible for the full scope of supply, installation, and commissioning of the solar plant. This includes the development of power evacuation infrastructure up to the Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL) substation.

EIE Renewables will also handle all statutory approvals, government permits, and land clearances required for the project. The scope of work covers site preparation activities such as land levelling and fencing, along with the construction of on-site building infrastructure. ITI Limited will provide around 30 acres of land within its campus, along with transmission connectivity and a dedicated bay for power injection.

Under the 25 year tripartite Power Purchase Agreement (PPA), EIE Renewables will supply electricity generated from the project. The agreement specifies the use of proven and operational technologies to ensure timely commissioning and requires the plant to achieve a minimum annual Capacity Utilisation Factor (CUF) of 16%.

This contract award follows EIE Renewables’ recent success in securing a 10 MW rooftop solar project through an auction conducted by the West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company.
