E.ON Hydrogen has selected ANDRITZ to conduct an engineering study for a 20 MW green hydrogen electrolyzer plant in Essen, Germany. This marks ANDRITZ’s second green hydrogen project in Germany within a year. The plant is expected to produce 2,300 tonnes of green hydrogen annually, which will be used by local transportation companies and industries in the Essen Harbour area.
The contract includes feasibility and safety studies for hydrogen production, compression, storage, and trailer loading facilities, with the study set for completion by 2024. E.ON Hydrogen is committed to driving decarbonisation in the transport and industrial sectors as part of its efforts to combat climate change.
