CtrlS Datacenters Limited has launched GreenVolt 1, a 125 MWp captive solar farm in Nagpur, Maharashtra, to power its data centre operations sustainably.
Phase I of the solar farm, with a capacity of 62.5 MWp, began operations in June 2024. The facility uses n-type solar panels, which provide higher energy output while requiring less land. Phase II, adding another 62.5 MWp, is under implementation.Â
Once fully operational, the solar farm will enable the Mumbai data centre campus to source 60 per cent of its power from solar energy.
