Coal India Limited (CIL) has issued a tender inviting bids to develop a grid-connected ground-mounted solar project at the Khavda Solar Park in Gujarat. The last date for bid submission is September 23, 2024.

The tender scope includes the design, engineering, procurement, supply of equipment and materials, erection, testing, and commissioning of the project. It also covers the supply, packaging, forwarding, and transportation of photovoltaic modules to the Khavda Solar Park.

Bidders are required to submit an earnest money deposit of Rs 5 million. The tender guidelines specify that bidders must have had a positive net worth over the last three financial years and an average annual turnover of at least Rs 39.2 million.

Earlier, in July 2024, CIL, through its subsidiary Central Mine Planning & Design Institute, issued a request for proposals for a 70 MW grid-connected solar project in Western Coalfields, Nagpur, Maharashtra.
