The Ministry of Coal has announced the selected applicants under its Financial Incentive Scheme for coal gasification.
In Category I, which supports government public sector undertakings and their joint ventures, the selected entities are Bharat Coal Gasification and Chemicals Limited, Coal India Limited (CIL), and the CIL–GAIL Consortium.
Under Category III, aimed at demonstration projects and small-scale product-based plants, New Era Cleantech Solution Private Limited has been chosen.
The scheme, with a total financial outlay of Rs 85 billion approved by the Cabinet, seeks to promote coal and lignite gasification projects across three categories.
