Cliantech Solutions has received a repeat contract from IB Solar to set up a 1.2 GW solar module manufacturing line, marking its second order from the same client. The company had earlier commissioned a 600 MW line for IB Solar, taking the total capacity installed by Cliantech for the client to 1.8 GW. The new facility is expected to be commissioned by May 2026.
The upcoming facility will produce M10 TOPCon, M10R, and G12R solar modules. Cliantech will deploy AI-enabled automation systems, along with equipment from international suppliers, including laminators and electroluminescence testing tools for quality inspection.
IB Solar is targeting a total module manufacturing capacity of 5 GW. The company is also assessing backward integration into solar cell production as part of its longer-term expansion strategy. The 1.8 GW capacity installed by Cliantech represents a substantial portion of this planned scale-up.
